Peace has been in effect for nearly five years around the lake. Not a fight has broken out, the prey has been plentiful, leaf-bares stay cozy. As the fifth year came to a close two threatening cats came to power. Nightstalker, and Darkspirit. The pair betrayed the clans and murdered anyone who stopped them. In revenge they sent a wolf pack to destroy what was left of the four ancient clans.

But as Starclan had it, the clans were triumphant in battle. Nightstalker was killed, and Darkspirit was never found again. Peace was restored, not even The Great Flood had stopped them. Even the presence of Rougeblood hadn't faltered them. Many great leaders were lost, but the clans remained strong.

As peace slowly renters the lives of four warrior clans, a new evil is arising. Five young cats have been blessed by unknown ancestors. Travelers from distant lands have come forth as guides to an old world, free of the disasters waiting at bay. But have they come too late? Will these five young cats fight for good or evil? Has Starclan finally lost touch with their clan-mates forever?
